Plus™ System
How the Wave's Plus™ System Works
When you lean back, the Wave's seat tilts with you. At the same time, the support for your lower back and neck automatically adjusts to your sitting position.
This happens entirely mechanically. There is no motor, and you don't have to operate a lever: the movement occurs automatically when you change your sitting position.
Each seat also operates independently. If you lean back, the person sitting next to you doesn't have to move with you.

The Wave always features a high back and fully upholstered armrests. You can choose from three sizes online.

Legs
Choose the legs for your Wave
With the Stressless® Wave, you can choose from a variety of legs at no extra charge. The standard height is 11 cm; depending on the leg model, versions with heights of 8 or 14 cm are also available.
You can choose from a round wooden leg with a diameter of 6.3 cm in heights of 8, 11, or 14 cm; a conical wooden leg in heights of 11 or 14 cm; or a round chrome-plated steel leg in heights of 8, 11, or 14 cm. In addition, there is a curved chrome leg measuring 11 cm, which is available exclusively for the Wave. The wooden legs come in 8 wood finishes.

The main difference lies in how the seat responds to your movements. With the Wave, the Plus™ system ensures that your seat tilts with you when you lean back and that the support for your lower back and neck automatically adjusts.
The Fiona and Flora are fixed sofas without a reclining mechanism; their seating comfort comes from the ComfortZones™ in the seat cushion. All three are part of the Stressless Essentials collection.

Corner Setup
The Stressless® Wave as a corner sofa
In addition to the straight 1-, 2-, and 3-seater sofas, there are also Wave corner sofas and larger combinations, including those with a corner section.
We do not offer these models through the online configurator. We’ll work with you to put together a corner sofa at our stores in Leuven or Antwerp, so you can choose the size, layout, and upholstery together. Feel free to bring the measurements of your living room with you.

Who is the Wave for, and who isn't it for?
The Wave is the right choice for you if you're looking for a high back and a seat that tilts mechanically in response to your movements. You choose the size, upholstery, and legs yourself, and each seat operates independently.
It's not the best choice if you're specifically looking for a completely fixed sofa (in that case, compare the Fiona and Flora). If you want a sleeker Plus™ sofa, check out the Arion, available exclusively at Stressless Store.
Price, Ordering, and Delivery
How much does a Stressless® Wave cost?
A Stressless® Wave 2-seater has a suggested retail price starting at €3,449 in fabric group 1; with the Essentials starting price valid through December 31, 2026, you pay starting at €2,899. The 1-seater starts at €2,109 instead of €2,509, and the 3-seater starts at €3,749 instead of €4,459. A 2-seater in Noblesse leather costs €4,389 instead of €5,229.

What types of coverings are available?
You can choose from 124 colors, divided into 6 price groups: fabric group 1, fabric group 2, Dinamica, and Batick, as well as the leather options Paloma, Velaro, and Noblesse.
What kinds of legs are available for the Wave?
Round and conical wooden legs, round chrome-plated steel legs, and a 11 cm curved chrome leg. For the wooden legs, you can choose from 8 wood colors. All legs are included at no extra charge.
Can I adjust the seat height of the Wave using the legs?
The standard height of the legs is 11 cm. Depending on the leg style, legs measuring 8 or 14 cm are also available.
Is the Stressless® Wave also available as a corner sofa?
Yes. We offer corner sofas and larger Wave combinations; we’ll help you put them together in our stores, and you can’t order them through the online configurator.
What is the difference between Wave and Fiona or Flora?
The Wave features the mechanical Plus™ system, which allows the seat to tilt along with you when you lean back. Fiona and Flora are fixed sofas without a moving mechanism, featuring ComfortZones™ in the seat cushions.
What is the difference between the Stressless® Wave and the Arion?
Both are Plus™ sofas. The Wave has a soft, undulating silhouette and a high back; the Arion has a sleeker design with hidden stitching and is available exclusively at Stressless Store.
Can I order the Stressless® Wave online, and how will it be delivered?
Yes. You can customize the straight 1-, 2-, and 3-seater sofas in the configurator and order them directly online. Shipping is free in Belgium and the Netherlands, with a delivery time of 8 to 10 weeks. Custom-made items cannot be returned.
