Why is the View so comfortable?
The View owes its comfort to the patented Stressless systems that move with your body. The backrest and seat move in a fixed ratio when you lean back, so you never end up sitting with a hollow back.
The division of the backrest and seat into zones ensures that the armchair continues to fit well, even if you're a bit taller.

Five frames: Which one is right for you?
Since every View is made to order, you can tailor it perfectly to your body and your home's interior. The base determines how the armchair moves and what it looks like.
Classic features the well-known round wooden base: it swivels 360° and is stable. Signature combines wood with a cross-base in aluminum or black, while Cross is the sleekest and most modern of the three. Both feature the rocking BalanceAdapt™ motion. For use at your desk, there’s Office, and with Power™, you can adjust the chair electrically.
You can choose from eight shades of beech wood, and the metal for the Signature and Cross models is available in matte black or polished.

Upholstery & Maintenance
Leather or fabric: Which upholstery should you choose?
According to our specialists, the View looks its best in leather—specifically Velaro or Noblesse—which highlight the texture of the cushions and let you feel the suppleness of the foam. Both leathers are durable; however, Noblesse, the semi-aniline top-grain leather, does require a bit more maintenance. Batick and Paloma are also available.
When you choose your fabric, you'll find dozens of colors and textures, from wool and bouclé to velour and microfiber. Fabric feels warm right away.
For leather and fabric, there are official Stressless® care kits containing tested products—this will help your upholstery last the longest.

Who is the Stressless® View best suited for?
The Stressless® View is especially well-suited for tall people and for those looking for extra back and neck support. Its longer, narrower backrest and the neck support that you can adjust to your own height provide just that little bit of extra length—in a sleek and timeless design.
What makes the Stressless® View different from other Stressless models?
The View has a longer, narrower backrest divided into three cushion zones: the headrest, the middle section, and the lower back. The seat consists of two zones. This ensures that the armchair conforms well to your back, and the upholstery stays nicely in place. Behind the headrest is a sliding neck rest that you can adjust to your height.
How do you adjust the neck support on the View?
The neck support is hidden behind the headrest and can be adjusted. You can easily slide it up or down until it fits snugly in the curve of your neck. In addition, the Plus™ system automatically adjusts the neck support when you lean back.
What is the difference between Classic, Signature, and Cross?
The difference lies in the base. Classic features a round wooden base that rotates 360° and is stable. Signature combines wood with an aluminum cross base, and Cross features a sleek metal cross base; both offer the rocking BalanceAdapt™ motion and are available in matte black or polished finishes. In addition, the View is available as the Office model on casters and as the electric Power™ model.
Can the Stressless® View be adjusted electrically?
Yes. The View Power™ has a motor and a built-in footrest instead of a separate footstool. You can use the buttons under the armrest to adjust the backrest and footrest continuously. The Power™ is available in sizes M and L, with an optional rechargeable battery.
What size View do I need—S, M, or L?
That depends on your height and leg length. In the Classic model, size S is 78 cm wide with a seat height of 39 cm, size M is 79 cm wide with a seat height of 41 cm, and size L is 91 cm wide with a seat height of 44 cm. Even in size S, the View is quite tall (105 cm). When you try it out in the showroom, we’ll work with you to determine which size and neck support position are right for you.
Is the View good for watching TV?
Yes, but keep in mind that the View reclines relatively far back: it’s great for relaxing and reading. If you mainly watch TV sitting upright, try it out in the showroom and adjust the resistance of the Glide-system™ to be a bit firmer—or compare it to a model with a more upright seating position.
Should I choose leather or fabric?
Both options are possible. According to our specialists, the View looks its best in Velaro or Noblesse: these leathers highlight the texture of the cushions and feel supple to the touch (though Noblesse does require a bit more maintenance). Fabric feels warm right away and comes in dozens of colors and textures. You can feel all the samples in our showroom.

How much does a Stressless® View cost, and what is the delivery time?
The suggested retail price for a View Classic with a footstool starts at €2,799. During the big Stressless promotion (through November 22), you’ll pay 15% less than the suggested retail price when you buy online. Online, it now starts at €2,022 without a footstool, €2,379 with a footstool, and up to €4,351 for the Power™ in Noblesse leather. Delivery takes approximately 8 weeks; shipping is free in Belgium and the Netherlands.
What warranty do I get with a Stressless® View?
You get a 10-year warranty on the internal mechanism: the Plus™ system, BalanceAdapt™, and the metal frame with springs. The motor and electrical components of Power™ are covered by a 5-year warranty, and the battery by a 2-year warranty. In addition, you have the 2-year statutory warranty.
Can I try out the Stressless® View?
Absolutely. The Stressless Stores in Leuven and Antwerp carry nearly all models in every size, in both leather and fabric. You can try out the View for free, have the neck support adjusted to your height, and compare it with other models.
