On a regular dining chair, you'll be stiff after an hour because your back can't move. The Mint solves that problem without any levers or buttons, in a design that fits with almost any table.

4 versions
High or low back, with or without armrests?
The Mint is available in 4 versions, all in size L and with a seat height of 48 cm. A high back (105 cm) provides greater support for your back, which you’ll notice when you linger at the table after a meal. A low back (92 cm) is less conspicuous and keeps the view unobstructed in an open living space. Armrests provide extra comfort and slide under a standard dining table measuring 74 to 75 cm.

Which chassis should you choose for your Mint?
Each Mint chair is compatible with five different bases. The base determines the chair's appearance, price, and whether it can swivel. Swiveling is only possible with the D350 base; the D200 and D400 are the most affordable.

Why have a swivel-base Mint at the table?
You don't have to slide the chair back to sit down or get up, and you can easily turn to face the person sitting next to you. Plus, a swivel chair lets you move around more, so you stay comfortable longer. This is especially handy in a smaller dining area.
Does the Mint return to its original position on its own?
By default, the D350 base rotates freely. If you choose the auto-return option, the chair will always rotate neatly back toward the table after you stand up. That option costs €63 per chair.
Wood or metal?
Wood (D100, D200) has a warm look and goes well with a wooden table. Metal (D300, D400) has a lighter appearance and goes well with a table that has a metal base. D300 costs the same as D100, and D400 costs the same as D200.

Which table looks best with the Mint?
The Mint works well at both round and rectangular tables. Allow 58 cm of width per chair, including armrests, and leave 30 to 40 cm of space behind the chair to stand up comfortably. At a 200-cm table, you can easily fit 3 Mint chairs along each long side. You’ll find more calculation examples under “How many dining chairs fit at your table?”

How much does a Stressless Mint dining chair cost?
A Stressless Mint is priced starting at €499 per chair at the Stressless Store for a low-back model without armrests, upholstered in fabric and mounted on a D200 or D400 base. With a high back, armrests, Velaro leather, and the swiveling D350 base, the price rises to €886. All prices include VAT, and delivery in Belgium and the Netherlands is free.
Does the Stressless Mint swivel?
Yes, the Stressless Mint rotates 360 degrees on the D350 base. It rotates freely as standard; with the auto-return option, the chair automatically rotates back toward the table after you stand up. That option costs €63 per chair. The other bases—D100, D200, D300, and D400—do not rotate.
What is the difference between the high-back and low-back Mint models?
The Mint with a high back is 105 cm tall and provides higher back support, which you’ll notice when you linger at the table. The Mint with a low back is 92 cm tall, is less conspicuous, and keeps the view unobstructed in an open living space. The seat height, seating comfort, and bases are the same for both; the high-back version costs €58 more per chair.
Will Mint chairs with armrests fit under my table?
It will fit under a standard dining table that is 74 to 75 cm high. The armrests of a Stressless dining chair are no more than 69 to 70 cm high, so they slide under the tabletop. Be careful with built-in desks or work tables: they’re often only 70 cm high. With armrests, the Mint is 58 cm wide.
What are the dimensions of the Stressless Mint?
The Stressless Mint has a seat height of 48 cm and is available in size L. With a high back, it is 105 cm high and 63 cm deep; with a low back, it is 92 cm high and 62 cm deep. The width ranges from 50 to 57 cm without armrests, depending on the base, and is 58 cm with armrests.

Can I order the Stressless Mint online?
Yes. In the configurator on this page, you can choose the model, base, upholstery, color, and number of chairs, and place your order online right away. Each chair is made for you in Norway, with a delivery time of 8 to 10 weeks. If you want chairs in different colors, please configure them one by one.
What kind of upholstery should I choose for a Mint with kids?
Our consultants recommend leather for households with children or grandchildren, particularly Paloma or Velaro. Both are durable and easy to clean with a damp cloth, provided you treat the leather at least twice a year with a Stressless care kit. If you have cats or dogs, keep in mind that leather is more susceptible to scratches.
How long is the warranty on a Stressless Mint?
You receive a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty. In addition, Stressless offers a 10-year warranty on the chair’s mechanism, the Balance&Glide™ system, and the metal frame. Damage to leather, fabric, or wood is not covered. Repairs are performed by our own team.
Can I try out the Stressless Mint in Leuven or Antwerp?
Yes, at the Stressless Store in Leuven and the Stressless Store in Antwerp, you can try out the Stressless dining chairs at the table, with or without an appointment. If you’d like to be sure a specific style or color of the Mint is available, please call or email us in advance. You’re welcome to take leather and fabric samples home with you.
Is the Stressless Mint also available as an office chair?
Yes. The Mint is also available as a home office chair on a star-base with five casters, starting at €638. This way, you’ll have the same adaptive seating comfort at your desk as you do at the table. For eight hours a day of intensive computer work, we recommend a full-featured ergonomic office chair.
