When is the best time to stop by for Stressless advice?

You’re welcome to visit any day, including Saturdays. If you’d like detailed advice and plenty of time to compare recliners, sofas, and upholstery at your leisure, please visit during the week: the showroom is usually less crowded then, and a consultant with paramedical training will guide you step by step through the options for sizes, seat height, and back support.

When is the showroom quiet?

Weekdays are generally quieter than weekends. Many people come in on Saturdays to try out the various Stressless models, which is nice but leaves less time for a long conversation. If you visit during the week, our consultants can take more time to assist you personally.

You’re, of course, welcome to stop by any day, including Saturdays—no appointment is necessary. What should you bring, or what should you know in advance?

Be sure to bring the measurements of the spot where the sofa will go, along with a photo of your interior. With the width and depth of the available space in hand, we can immediately tell you which models will fit, even when the backrest is reclined.

It’s helpful to know in advance: what positions you sit in most often (reading, watching TV, napping), the color and material of your existing furniture, and what the entrance to your living room looks like in terms of delivery. It’s also good to know that the maximum user weight for a Stressless is 130 kg. If you’re unsure whether to have your current sofa repaired or replaced, please bring a photo with you.

What happens during a consultation?

First, we listen to your needs and assess your sitting posture, and only then do we start looking at different models. Our consultants have paramedical training, so they start by assessing your body: your height, your seat height, and where your back and neck need support.

Next, we’ll explain your options: which size and model are right for you, which leather or fabric you should choose, and which features make the most sense. Why is it important to physically test a recliner?

Because comfort is a matter of fit, and you can only really feel it once you're sitting down. Seat height, seat depth, and where the backrest touches you vary by model and size. A chair that looks good on paper might not provide the right support for your lower back.

In addition, the Stressless systems are tailored to you.
