Which models are included in the Classic collection?
Six: the Mayfair, Consul, Sunrise, Wing, Ruby, and Reno. They all share the familiar Stressless design—the look the brand is known for—and all six are available in sizes S, M, and L. Prices range from €1,858 to €2,839; the entry-level model of the entire Stressless line is included in this collection.
The price listed is always for the least expensive version currently available in our online store. The base, upholstery set, and footstool all factor into the price; size and color do not.
Which model should you choose for what purpose?
The main difference lies in the pillows and the neck support. Here's how our advisors see it:
Stressless® Mayfair — Extra-soft cushions; fully customizable online, just like the Ruby and the Reno.
Stressless® Consul — Our base model, at the most competitive price.
Stressless® Sunrise — Base model with softer cushions than the Consul.
Stressless® Wing — Softer cushions than the Consul, and good neck support.
Stressless® Ruby — Excellent comfort, with plenty of support for the lower back.
Stressless® Reno — Our most comfortable model: fully adjustable neck and lower back support.
The Consul, Sunrise, and Wing have a fixed backrest; the Ruby and Reno have an adjustable neck support, allowing you to customize the support for your neck and lower back. If you have back pain and lumbar support is important to you, these are the two models to start with.
Classic or Urban?
The Classic collection is the safest bet when it comes to sizing: all six styles are available in S, M, and L, so there’s always a style that fits your body type. In the Urban collection, the lines are sleeker, but some styles are only available in size M.

How much maintenance does a chair like this require?
Not much, but not nothing. Treat the seats at least twice a year with a Stressless care kit; if there’s a lot of sun, an open fireplace, or dry air, you can do it every quarter. The four leather types range from least to most maintenance-intensive: Batick, Paloma, Velaro, and Noblesse. The Reno. With this model, both the neck support and the lower back support are fully adjustable, making it our most comfortable model. The Ruby comes in a close second, offering plenty of support for the lower back. You’ll only know which of the two is right for you once you try them out.

It relaxes your muscles, helps you maintain proper posture, and encourages small movements so that you stay active even while sitting.
Yes. All six models in the Classic collection are available in sizes S, M, and L. That’s the biggest practical difference compared to the Urban collection, where some models are only available in size M. We’ll help you determine your size during a fitting.
You can now fully customize and order the Stressless Mayfair, Ruby, and Reno online, choosing from a variety of bases, sizes, ottomans, upholstery options, and colors. The Consul, Sunrise, and Wing will follow. The following applies to all models: free delivery in Belgium and the Netherlands, with a delivery time of approximately 8 weeks, as each chair is custom-made.
